The Tying Bench

Have you caught The Tying Bench yet?  If not, now is the perfect time to get hooked.  In our third season, host Mark Van Patten revisits some of his favorite flies from the first season, and introduces new patterns fresh off the vise. 

During this thirteen show series you will not only learn how to tie flies ranging from beginner to advanced, you will also learn about the tools needed to start tying your own flies, fishing techniques, useful knots, and stream side etiquette in Mark's Tippet's. 

As a Master Fly Fisher and Fly Tier, Mark has more than 35 years of fly-fishing and tying experience.  His love of the sport and wealth of knowledge allows Mark to guide you through the process of tying some of today's hottest flies while our extreme close up camera allows you to watch in detail.  The Tying Bench covers fly patterns that work for cold, warm, and saltwater species of fish.  Mark believes, "If it swims, it can be caught on a fly rod."
